Nautor's Swan 37 with her pronounced tumble home and low windage profile, La Belle is a very pretty, Sparkman & Stephens design with Nautor build pedigree. She has the classic S&S design with fin and skeg rudder that provides excellent performance and general fast, sea kindly passage making.

Yachting Monthly January 1970

“While the Swan 37 is a potential winner, we are more concerned with her cruising role. Under smaller headsail she is easy to handle for the family crew. She is light on the helm and an inattentive helmsman soon makes his (or her) shortcomings known. She would suit the person who wishes to cruise far afield and make fast passages. The deck layout is carefully engineered platform for the setting and sheeting of sails thus no concession to the lazy life! The quarter berths are unusually good and the saloon is a restful place with extensive wooden surfaces with an air of taste about it. The Swan 37 is not the sort of craft which can be reviewed easily. She must be sailed and handled by anyone interested to that extent. As a fast cruiser they cannot fail to be impressed.”
